The UCLA School of Nursing accepts
students of exceptional talent and dedication who will become
the next generation of leading caregivers, researchers and faculty.
U.S. News & World Report
ranks UCLA in the top 10 nursing programs nationwide. The
School also supports an outstanding master’s program, and
a program for nurses with associate's degrees to obtain both bachelor’s
and master's degrees.
The UCLA School of Nursing has raised more than
$10 million over the past 10 years, providing nearly 85 percent
of our postgraduate students with scholarships ranging from $1,000
- $20,000. The Chironians, comprising dedicated alumni, faculty
and friends, provides financial support for the UCLA School of
Nursing as it enhances and promotes excellence in clinical practice,
research and training.
Such support is especially important in
the face of state decreases in funding for educational programs.
California ranks 49th out of 50 states in the ratio of registered nurses
per population. Tuition increases of 20 percent, coupled with the
School's largest enrollment in over 10 years, make creating new
student scholarships a high priority.
