Established in 1994, the UCLA
School of Public
Affairs set a new
direction for graduate-level teaching, research and action in
the public interest. The School incorporates:
One of the country's newest and largest public affairs programs, the School offers master's degrees in all three areas, as well as doctoral degrees in social welfare and urban planning, and an increasingly popular minor in public policy.
In order to continue to compete with top-ranked
private institutions and maintain its international reputation,
the School has developed an ambitious plan to bolster its philanthropic
support. Gifts to the Dean’s Competitiveness Fund strengthen
the School’s ability to recruit and retain top faculty and
students. Innovation Funds provide academic leaders with resources
to respond to the School’s most pressing needs and noteworthy
opportunities. Endowed chairs and fellowships ensure resources
for future generations of faculty and students dedicated to the
public good.
